JW Fishers has specialized in the design and manufacture of reasonably priced, high tech underwater search equipment for over 45 years.  JW Fishers hand held metal detectors and boat-towed metal detectors, marine magnetometers, underwater camera systems, ROVs, and side scan sonar.

A hand held metal detector helps find any metal object buried underground or underwater.  A magnetometer can be used as a metal detector.  However, a magnetometer can detect only magnetic (ferrous) metals.   Also, while a metal detector’s range is rarely more than 2 metres, a magnetometer can detect large objects, such as cars, at tens of metres.  Magnetometers help see archeological sites, shipwrecks, and other buried or submerged ferrous objects.  To search larger areas underwater, a boat towed metal detector is extremely useful.  Sea-View Diving has several models of hand held metal detectors to add to your underwater search equipment tool box.

One of the great features of an underwater detector is its ability to work above and below water. Like the Pulse 8X, some detectors have all the accessories needed for land and underwater detecting. This makes them, in effect, two detectors in one. The Pulse Induction Technology (PI) used in underwater detectors make them ideal for searching deserts and other areas with high mineral content. They are suitable because PI machines ignore mineralization in the ground. Another advantage of JW Fishers PI machines is the interchangeable coil feature. This enables attaching different-sized heads to the detector’s electronics unit. This makes the Pulse 8X ideal for meteor hunters. They are ideal because they can attach the large 8 x 48-inch oval. In addition, you can mount it on the front of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

Many recreational scuba divers discover the fun and excitement an underwater metal detector can bring to their diving. Sea-View Diving has a great selection of high-quality detectors and other underwater search equipment by JW Fishers.  JW Fishers also has two excellent choices for boat towed metal detectors.
