JW Fishers Sonar Coverage Map Software Features
The optional Sonar Coverage Map software window shows the boat’s path as it travels over the search area and displays the width of the scanned area. In the image above/left, the selected range setting is 10 meters. A swath of 20 meters wide is shown with the boat track line down the middle of the swath. The software will show any overlap in the adjacent swaths as the boat makes each subsequent pass. The Sonar Coverage Map can be exported as an image with a KML file to allow it to be easily overlaid on other mapping programs (as shown on the back page). The operator can store all data on the computer’s hard drive or disk.
