- The Main Seal
The battery compartment has an easy to maintain proven
O-ring seal.
- Buoyancy
Under normal conditions the Torpedo DPV is negative in the
water. This allows the diver to sit the vehicle down to
make adjustments etc. For snorkelers, there is an
optional floatation accessory available.
- Handle Design
The handles are built for functionality in mind. They are
located along the centerline of thrust and buoyancy.
This provides minimal operation effort and arm fatigue while
in use. This handles are built to facilitate easy carrying of
the DPV while out of the water. The 7/8 inch handle
diameter allows for easy attachment of accessories.
- Storage
The Torpedo DPV minimizes floor space during storage by
storing it upright. It also allows easy access to the
battery.
- Switch
The premium feature of the Torpedo is the magnetically
activated reed switch. A magnet, conveniently inserted
in a Velcro palm strap, activates the switch. This
provides safety and dependability.
- Motor
Sealed mercury marine/motorguide aluminum housing trolling
motor.
- Construction
The housing is Gel coated bi-axial fiberglass, or impact
ABS. The top is impact ABS. The handles and shroud are powder
coated aluminum. All hardware is stainless steel and the ring
is polycarbonate.
- Low Cost Battery
32 AH absorbed electrolyte sealed lead acid battery.
DIMENSIONS: Width 5 1/8", Height 6", Length 7 5/8", and Weight
26 lbs.
- Charger
Fully automatic 6 amp. output recharges a fully discharged
battery in 3 to 4 hours. Input: 120 VAC 60 HZ.
- Hydrodynamics
The computer aided design of the Torpedo DPV enables the
free flow of water through the shrouded propeller to maximize
efficiency of the motor thrust.
- Twin Torpedo
By connecting two Torpedo DPVs you will create the fastest
DPV on the market for the price, with twin motor safety and
two speeds.
